They met at the University of Northern Iowa where Colton played football and Delaney played volleyball. Colton asked Delaney to be his girlfriend in front of the Keeper of the Plains in Wichita, KS after their first official date at Bella Vita. They try and go back once a year to celebrate!

Delaney started nursing school Fall Semester of 2018, while Colton finished his last season as a Panther. They love to dress up each Halloween. Here they went as Dwight Schrute and Angela from The Office!

Colton gradated in May of 2019 and Delaney graduated Nursing School December of 2019. After she moved to Kansas City with Colton to live in their first apartment together. Nothing like 450 sq ft and working night shift as a nurse to spring you in to adulthood!

During the pandemic, Colton and Delaney thought it was a great idea to share their studio apartment with a puppy. They welcomed Milly to their world and it was changed for the better. She is the best snuggler and the worst guard dog!

Colton and Delaney went out of the country for the first time to Punta Cana. This trip sparked their love for travel and adventure. Later that year, Colton bought a duplex and they moved in to their first home together!

Delaney began travel nursing in Fall of 2021. Which led them to start the tradition of traveling somewhere new for every birthday. In this picture, they went to their first Notre Dame football game for Colton's birthday. Although it was the windiest game they've ever been to, they watched them pull off the win against Clemson - GO IRISH!

Throughout this year, Delaney took a travel nursing contract in KC to be close to home and spend more time with family and friends. Colton continued to work for MMG and even became a cowboy. When the Chiefs aren't playing, they love to go to country concerts at Arrowhead! Yeehaw!

Colton and Delaney were fortunate enough to take a month long trip to Costa Rica in December of 2024. Here they learned to surf, hiked a volcano, swam in a natural hot spring, saw sloths up close and personal, learned how cocoa was made, bungee jumped and truly lived the pura vida lifestyle. During this trip, Colton pulled off the biggest surprise yet. A sunset stroll on the beach before their anniversary dinner turned in to the most unforgettable proposal. It was truly magical and the rest is history!
